OGGIE life is good.

1964, Cleveland. A 21-year-old drawing greeting cards for a living invents a frog. Forty-one years later the internet meets Pepe and calls it the original meme frog. It wasn't the first. Oggie was.

four steps

How to buy

  1. Get a Solana wallet

Phantom or Solflare, on your phone or as a browser extension. Write the seed phrase down on paper and never type it into anything.

  2. Put some SOL in it

Buy SOL on any exchange and send it to your wallet address, or use the wallet's own buy button. Leave a little for fees.

  3. Open the coin

Open Pump.fun or FOMO, or the swap tab in Phantom, Solflare or Coinbase Wallet, and paste the contract address. Check it character by character — there are several unrelated tokens using the Oggie name.

  4. Swap, then relax

Enter an amount, confirm in the wallet, done. They all trade the same coin out of the same pool — pick whichever you already use. Then go do something Oggie would do.

Already have a wallet? You can swap without leaving it.

Phantom swap tab → paste the address
Solflare swap tab → paste the address
Coinbase Wallet swap tab → paste the address

The numbers, such as they are

supply 1,000,000,000

The pump.fun standard, minted once — the mint authority is revoked. About 972M is left after the bond burn.

presale none

No allocation, no private round, no unlock schedule to read.

liquidity burned on bond

The curve filled and the coin migrated to its own pool. pump.fun burns the LP tokens on migration.

roadmap up the beanstalk

Memes and whoever shows up. That's the whole plan.

Don't take our word for it — check the coin on Pump.fun and the mint on Solscan.

chapter one

Where he came from

Oggie is not a new drawing dressed up as an old one. He is an actual character out of underground comix, drawn before the moon landing, and the paper trail is public.

  1. 1963

    The Big Yum Yum Book

Robert Crumb, twenty, is four years into drawing greeting cards at American Greetings in Cleveland when he makes a full-colour graphic novel on the side: The Story of Oggie and the Beanstalk. The hero is a toad who fits in nowhere. After a bad night he buries a handful of dead ladybugs under his floorboards, a beanstalk tears up through the planks, and it carries him into the sky.

  2. 1964

    Oggie the Frog, on paper

Loose pen-and-ink Oggie the Frog sketches from 1964–65 still come up at auction today — Heritage, Bonhams, artnet. That is the year on the birth certificate. The book itself waited twelve years for a publisher: Scrimshaw Press printed it in 1975, and it came back in 1995.

  3. 2005

    A second frog

Forty-one years later, Matt Furie draws Pepe in Boy’s Club. Four panels, four words: feels good man. Furie has always named the underground comix generation as his lineage.

  4. now

    $oggie

Same frog, same shrug at the whole business of taking things seriously — now on Solana, run by whoever shows up. Life is good.

Two comic panels: Oggie raises a finger and says AH HA! I HAVE IT! I SHALL EMBARK UPON AN EXPEDITION! then holds a branch and says he hasn't strayed far from where the beanstalk landed him
Two panels, one whole personality. Oggie decides to go, then admits he's barely moved — and goes anyway.
